Designer Blouse 1

Here, I am posting all the blouses designed by me either before or after stitching. Sometimes I don't get the idea what to design or I may not get the required designs or motifs which I will be having in my mind. Depending on the idea I get after raking my brain, I do the designs. But sure enough I have to decide on the neck design before stitching.

So here is my first one:  Blouse 1

For my last brother-in-laws marriage, before even going to the saree shop, I decided that I want beaming orange color with black border silk saree. Though my sister-in-law and mother-in-law were shocked on my selection, I was bent upon to buy this.

Now for the designing part, i decided only the neck part. I had bought Singer Fashion maker and I was yet to try the embroidery stitch. So selected one design and ran it along the neck defining the neck shape more precisely. Then the borders of the sleeves. Still it looked plain, so I was in search of black motifs for blouse but in vain. Finally I found a salwar yoke in black. Thought that to be suitable. I cut it, arranged it tapering towards right shoulder. First stuck it with fabric glue and hand stitched it to secure it.

Then I felt something is missing. Again on hunting found some netted motifs for hands as well oval shaped black stones. Same procedure for sleeves and stuck the stones along the neck-line, sleeve borders and on the design at the back. It looked elegant. Do I have to say that was an eye catcher in the marriage!!
