Designer Blouse 8

This is the blouse, for first time stitched for other than relatives. My friend gave me a free hand to design to my taste for her daughter's pattu paavadai, which she had taken for 2012 Diwali. She understood me very well that how long I take to decide the decide or simply you can call me lazy, gave me this a month prior to the occasion.

First marked the measurements, cut, attached only the neckline with right side over the lining, turned it over. Then pasted all motifs before hand stitching it only on to the blouse, so that stitches are not seen underneath the lining cloth. About sleeves.....

The remaining border wasn't enough for the sleeve border. But I could find two squares of four mangoes, attached those in center of the sleeve border. Sleeves too first stitched the cloth with lining, turned it over. Pasted motifs and hand stitched with stitches only on the main cloth. Then finished the entire stitching.

But I wasn't completely satisfied. Along the neckline I felt it was so blank in between motifs and no connection between those. All motifs were standing alone. Started rustling my stock of embellishments, found a meter of stone chain. Cut it to fill the gap between each motif.  Attached it by sewing in between stones, taking utmost care that the stitches doesn't show beneath lining. The final result is what you see.
